Doppler Radar is what the National Weather Service uses to help track and forecast storms locally and nationally. Doppler Radar allows us to see precipitation in the air and track dangerous thunderstorms approaching by measuring heavy precipitation and very strong winds and shear that could lead to severe and tornadic weather.
